100 days 100 paintings

20th February

After a visit to the pop up London Messina Wiltshire Gallery in Harrogate I was inspired to draw and use oil paint in my sketch book.

I came across artist Kurt Jackson at this gallery and was fascinated by his work on show there. I looked through a catalogue of his works also on display and looked him up on the great internet. I listened to a few interviews and read explanations about his work. I found the articles very interesting and inspiring. Especially how he works outdoors and his inspiration from Turner. I noticed in one of his interviews he showed his sketchbook. It looked like a miniature catalogue of his work in colour, this especially made me want to create a sketch book with colour.
